All Souls Month – November

This November we will be celebrating the “Saints of Newman” – those members who are no longer with us in body but who will always be a part of our community, and families, and are keeping us in prayer from heaven.

There will be 2 masses:

  • 12:10 pm – designed for campus community members on the go.  Simple chants, no music.
  • A special mass with music will be celebrated at 7 pm.

We will be featuring a memorial “wall” of pictures of those who have died in the last year. If you have a loved one who has died and you would like remembered, please put a picture and name of that person in an envelope. Offering envelopes are available on the credenza.

To make prayer requests and a donation to the Newman Center, go to our secure online giving site: https://newmanhawaii.weshareonline.org/allsouls.

July 21: Young Adults’ Sports Day

FAITH, FRIENDSHIP, & FUN

This past Saturday, July 21, Newman Center collaborated with several other parishes in the Diocese of Honolulu to participate in the Young Adults’ Sports Day event. Hosted on the lawn of Mary, Star of the Sea Parish in Kāhala, the sports day provided our Newman youth and young adults a chance to play several rounds of volleyball and tug of war against those of other island parishes. Sporting a red t-shirt with “Newman Knights” on it, our team did quite well and felt fulfilled!

A day like this is a perfect way to bridge friendship with faith and fun!
